📍 Colombia
Medellín’s Metrocable Línea K climbs the northeastern slopes of the Aburrá Valley, linking Acevedo station on Metro Line A with Santo Domingo Savio via Andalucía and Popular. Opened in 2004, it made aerial cable transport part of the city’s everyday transit network, connecting steep hillside neighborhoods with the rail system below. The views are as much about Medellín’s urban geography as its skyline: closely packed brick homes, varied rooflines, narrow streets and stairways spread beneath the cabins. Higher up, this intimate view of neighborhood life opens into a broader panorama of the valley, where dense development follows the valley floor and climbs toward the surrounding mountain ridges.
