📍 Austria
The views from Kellerjochkapelle unfold from the 2,344-metre summit of Kellerjoch above Schwaz in Tyrol’s Inn Valley. The tiny chapel forms a striking foreground against a broad Alpine panorama: the Karwendel rises across the valley, while the Tux and Zillertal Alps layer the southern horizon. Far below, Schwaz, fields, roads, and the Inn compress into a map-like landscape, emphasizing the mountain’s scale. The chapel’s compact white form and cross are especially recognizable on the open ridge, where shifting cloud and clear mountain light can quickly transform the scene. Access is on foot by alpine hiking trails, with a steep final approach that requires appropriate mountain experience.
