Belvedere Murgia Timone stands across the Gravina di Matera ravine from the historic Sassi, within the rugged landscape of the Murgia Materana. From here, Matera’s cave dwellings, stone houses and lanes appear layered up the opposite slope, crowned by the cathedral and punctuated by rock churches.
