Den Hoorn on Texel is a small village in the Northern province of the Netherlands. Located on the west coast of the island of Texel, it is only 20 km from the mainland. The village is home to an old fishing port, where visitors can see local fisherman in their boats, whilst dolphins, seals and seabirds play in the sheltered harbor. Tourists can also take a stroll through the cobbled streets lined with characteristic Dutch houses, with their beautiful gardens and the old church, perched above the village. Those looking for a pleasant day trip can take a stroll along the stunning seaside, or take advantage of the many water-sports facilities located nearby. There is also a nature reserve close by, complete with a lovely sandy beach. Den Hoorn is a great place to stay, as it offers a variety of activities and plenty of local hospitality.
