The Schauinsland Bergstation is a cable car station situated on the Schauinsland mountain peak, at an altitude of 1284 meters, offering a stunning view of the Black Forest, the Vosges mountains and the Alps when the weather is clear. The cable car station has a restaurant, terrace with seating and you can purchase souvenirs. It’s also possible to take a tour around the peak. Hiking trails run all the way to the top of the mountain, which can be a great experience. There are some trails with caves that you can explore. On the way, you can admire a plethora of flora and fauna. The entire trip takes about an hour, depending on how long you stay on the summit. A great way to explore the area is to take a bike tour or a Segway tour. Another way to explore is by cable car and enjoy the scenic view.
