Vieille Bourse de Lille is a 17th century building situated in the Lille Grand Palais. It was constructed between 1652 and 1653 and is part of the Lille Old Town Historic District. The building is internationally famous for its unique Baroque architecture and monumental sculpture. Inside, the building has rows of two-storey arcades surrounding a central courtyard, and on the exterior, two horseshoe staircases lead to the terrace. It is now used as an art center and antique market, and regularly plays host to Summer concerts and temporary exhibitions. Vieille Bourse de Lille is well worth a visit for its architectural beauty, and for its grand historical and cultural significance.
