Victoria Tower

Victoria Tower is a prominent tower located on the west side of the Palace of Westminster in London, England. It is a Grade I listed building and stands at 97 meters tall making it one of the most recognisable symbols of London's skyline. It was constructed in 1862 and has been used to store documents from the House of Commons for over a century. The tower now serves as a viewing platform, accessible via the Victoria Tower Garden which grants visitors an in-depth view of the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames. The Tower also plays a ceremonial role when laws are granted Royal Assent. On important occasions, such as the State Opening of Parliament or the death of a Monarch, a Royal Standard is flown from the Tower.
