Victoria Memorial is one of the most famous monuments in Greater London. It is a large marble memorial dedicated to Queen Victoria, located near Buckingham Palace. The memorial is made up of sculptures, panels and carvings depicting the history of her life and reign. It is a popular spot for fans of Victorian architecture, with its grand and impressive façade of white marble, surrounded by carefully tended gardens. Visitors can explore the gardens to find a wide variety of statues and sculptures. Inside, there is a spectacular rotunda with a vast dome. Additionally, not too far away, are the Queen Victoria Memorial Carriage Museum and Albert Memorial Chapel. The memorial can be reached easily on foot from Buckingham Palace or St James’s Park.
