Via Ragen di Sopra, known in German as Oberragen, runs through one of the historic quarters of Brunico, just east of the main old-town street. Its closely spaced townhouses, traditional inns and restrained pastel façades reflect the layered Tyrolean character of this bilingual South Tyrolean town. The street’s gentle curve and changing rooflines create a more intimate scene than Brunico’s central thoroughfare, with stucco walls, wooden details and glimpses toward the surrounding slopes adding depth to photographs.
