Verzasca River is a stunning river in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, Switzerland. It originates in Monte Leone and flows for 45 km, joining the Maggia River near Lake Maggiore. The river is renowned for its emerald-green waters and surrounding alpine scenery. Swimming in the river is a popular activity, as well as fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. Both professional and amateur photographers can find plenty of amazing photo opportunities along the banks. The famous James Bond bungee jump scene in the 1995 film, GoldenEye, was filmed at the Verzasca Dam. There are plenty of hiking trails around the river as well as other riverside destinations to explore.
