Versailles Cathedral, also known as St. Louis Cathedral, is an architectural gem outside the palace grounds. Designed in a neoclassical style, it was built between 1743 and 1754 by architect Jacques Hardouin-Mansart de Sagonne. Photo-travelers will appreciate its striking symmetrical facade and the grandeur of the Corinthian columns. Interior highlights include the grand organ by renowned organ builder Clicquot and intricate stained-glass windows depicting religious scenes. The soft natural light filtering through these windows provides an excellent opportunity for capturing detailed architecture shots. It’s a quieter spot compared to the Versailles Palace, offering great angles without the massive crowds.
