Vernal Falls is an amazing 320-feet (97-meter) waterfall located within the famous Yosemite National Park in California. Accessible via the Mist Trail, Vernal Falls offers visitors stunning, close-up views of this powerful flow of water and even the chance to take in the mist of the falls on a hot day. Don't miss picturesque Emerald Pool, an oasis of calm at the base of the waterfall and the epic scene of the falls crashing onto the Merced River. While the main view of the falls can be reached by an easy 1-mile (1.6 km) round-trip hike, more experienced and adventurous visitors can opt to hike the full 4-mile (6.4 km) round-trip hike to Vernal Falls, which will offer much more rewarding views.
