Veltrusy Chateau is a 16th-century castle located in the town of Veltrusy, Czechia. It features a beautiful baroque style design and is known for its history, architecture, and its peacefulness. The castle is surrounded by an encient park. It was once the main palace of the noble family Rohan-Soubise and was renovated twice, after it was badly damaged by fires. Inside, there are several artworks and collections of books, armor and firearms, paintings and drawings, and furniture from the baroque and rococo periods. You can also find a unique collection of coins, medals and medallions. Access is free, however it is currently closed due to the pandemic and confirming opening hours is recommended. Visitors can also enjoy the nearby woods and little village.
