📍 Sweden
Vattenfall i Åre is a small local waterfall near Så, east of Åre village in Jämtland. It belongs to the network of streams descending through the forested slopes of Åredalen toward the Indalsälven river system, a landscape shaped by mountain runoff and seasonal snowmelt. The scene is defined by pale, fast-moving water against dark rock, moss, and conifers; in spring and early summer, stronger flow gives the cascade greater texture and scale, while lower water reveals more of the underlying stone.
