📍 From Walkway, Portugal
Vasco da Gama bridge is the longest bridge in Europe, spanning 17 kilometres across the Tagus River in Portugal. It has six lanes and two railway lines. From the bridge, you can look out over the river and take in stunning views of the quaint fishing village of Barreiro. The highlight of this scenic location is the dozens of small fishing boats that line the banks of the river. The boats are a colourful contrast to the massive towers and concrete structures of the bridge. Tourists can take a leisurely stroll along the river bank and observe the locals mending nets or unloading their catch of the day. Visitors can also enjoy local restaurant meals or refreshment in spots dotted along the river. There's ample opportunity to take picturesque shots, or simply indulge in the magic of the moment.
