Győr’s Városháza is the city’s monumental town hall, standing on Városház tér opposite the railway station and marking the southern approach to the historic center. Built in the late 19th century in an ornate Neo-Baroque style, it remains the seat of municipal government. Its long, balanced façade is organized around a tall central clock tower crowned by a copper-green dome, with smaller corner towers, arched windows, columns, and sculptural stonework reinforcing its civic grandeur. The broad square in front provides a clear view of the symmetry and scale, while evening illumination brings out the warm façade and layered roofline.
