Vanšu Bridge is a bridge in Rīga, Latvia. This bridge is one of the oldest in the city, with its construction starting in 1891 and being reopened in 1909.The original name of this bridge is Mažas Svētelnieka (Little Lighthouse) and the new name is Vanšu Bridge. The bridge spans across the Daugava River and has seven stone arches, each of which is decorated with different sculptures and reliefs. It is located near the park Viesturdārzs (Viesturs Garden), an English romantic park. The bridge connects the downtown to a newly developed area in the southeast of the city. It is also an important link between Pārdaugava and Zemgale. The bridge is illuminated at night. It is an excellent spot for enjoying the views of Daugava River and taking pictures of Rīga's skyline.
