Valletta is the capital city of Malta, a Mediterranean archipelago located just south of Sicily. It is the smallest capital in the European Union and was once a cosmic fortified city known for keeping out invaders. Today, it is a beautiful modern city full of vibrant flavors, vibrant culture, and amazing architecture. The historical part of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Explore the Baroque architecture that Valletta is known for. The most significant sites include St. John's Co-Cathedral, part of the Knights of St. John who occupied the city for centuries, and Fort St. Elmo, the entrance gate to the city. Take a stroll in the Renaissance style architectured Upper Barrakka Gardens and visit the Manoel Theatre. During the day, shop in the local markets, dine at the local restaurants, peruse the galleries, and stock up on souvenirs in Valletta's many shops. During the night, let Valletta's vibrant nightlife introduce you to Malta's cafe culture. In the summer months, relax in the gardens and open-air terraces for al fresco dining with the locals. Valletta is also known for its location. Take a ferry ride from the Valletta Waterfront to the nearby harbor towns of Mdina, Gozo, or Malta's Blue Lagoon to experience even more of the local culture. Valletta is easily accessible by bus and taxi from the nearby airport as well as ferry and boat services.
