Uspensʹkyy Sobor (also known as Uspensʹka Church) is a stunning monastic Cathedral Nestled in the city of Kyiv, Ukraine. The church was built around 1340 to honour Saint Barbara and has undergone several reconstructions over the centuries. The interior of the church contains beautiful frescoes, depicting scenes from both the Bible and Ukrainian history. It also features stunning stained-glass windows, intricate woodwork designs and ornate chandeliers. Uspensʹkyy Sobor is renowned for the sarcophagus of Saint Michael the Archangel who features prominently in the mosaic inside. As one of the oldest remaining buildings from the era of Kievan Rus, Uspensʹkyy Sobor is sure to delight and fascinate visitors.
