The romantic US Army Reserve’s Lighthouse Deck in Manitowoc, United States, offers visitors a great spot to take in the views of the maritime setting. There is a 1.5mile-long boardwalk along the banks of the Manitowoc River that you can follow to reach the lighthouse. The spectacular sight of the lake and the dense, rolling hillsides makes for a perfect day trip. Once you reach the lighthouse, you can view many historical and cultural artifacts from the Navy and Coast Guard. A great way to get a panoramic view is to climb the stairs to the top of the lighthouse, making sure to bring your camera along! Be sure to watch the sunrise and sunset, both of which offer incredible photos. The Lighthouse Deck is also a great spot for watching maritime traffic.
