
Urania Sternenwarte Wien is a fascinating place to explore in Wien, Austria. It was erected in 1910-1912 by Guntherdank, a sculptor and architect. The exterior and interior of the building recreate images of the night sky. The walls are decorated with 12 statues depicting the gods, goddesses and heroes related to astronomy. Inside the building, visitors can find several areas dedicated to science, astronomy and art. There is a permanent exhibition on space and astronomy, a library, a planetarium, an astronomical observatory, a 3D cinema and a theatre. Thanks to its distinctive architecture, Urania Sternenwarte Wien has become an iconic landmark of Wien.
