The Upside Down Pyramid at Louvre is a unique feat of engineering built to support a glass ceiling above the main lobby of the iconic Louvre Museum. The construction of the pyramid was finished in 1989, and it serves as a main entrance to the museum. The pyramid is made of 70 triangular panes of glass held in a metal frame. It stands 21.6 m tall and the base has an area of 602.7 m². It has become an important symbol of the museum and can be seen on its logo. The eight sides of the pyramid are etched with drawings of Greek gods. It's truly impressive to behold and is definitely worth visiting when in Paris.
