📍 From McMillan Round Reading Room, United Kingdom
University of Glasgow and McMillan Round Reading Room is a stunning Victorian structure located on the University of Glasgow campus. It is a two-storey reading room constructed in memory of the son's of Glasgow merchants. The reading room was built in 1897 at a cost of £6,000 and is considered one of the best examples of Scottish architecture. Its large cast-iron columns and ornate interior are breathtaking and the large round skylight is a site of beauty. It is a spot for peace and tranquillity for not only students of the university, but visitors too. The building is still used as a functioning library by the university today.
