Union Station is located in the heart of Los Angeles, in the vibrant city center of the City of Angeles. It is an iconic Los Angeles structure, offering both historical and modern architectural styles. Built in 1939 and containing art deco style, it is the largest railroad passenger terminal in the Western United States. In addition to the passenger terminal, it is also a hub for Amtrak trains, and local, regional, and international rail services. A visit to Union Station includes a tour of the main lobby, the Fred Harvey Restaurant, the Fred Harvey Room, the Spanish Colonial Revival style waiting room, as well as the Art Deco Ticket Office and grand concourse.
