Umi Jigoku is one of eight hot springs known as Jigoku Meguri in Beppu, Japan. It stands out from the others with its cobalt blue water, making it a popular tourist destination. The hot spring is approximately 90 meters in circumference and 64 meters deep and its temperature is approximately 99°C.
At Umi Jigoku you can encounter some wild animals such as Japanese giant salamanders and Japanese turtles, and wandering water birds like ducks. You can also find several souvenir shops and a restaurant there. This site also has a landscape garden where you can enjoy walking around and taking in the beautiful views.
