Tyne Bridge is a spectacular structure in Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom. Built in 1928, it’s one of the finest examples of a cantilever bridge in the country, with eight main spans crossing the Tyne River and connecting Newcastle’s city center to Gateshead. The bridge is a Grade I listed building, and a great landmark in both the city of Newcastle and the region of Tyne and Wear. The bridge stands at 134 meters tall, inviting visitors to admire an incredible view of the surrounding area. There is an observation deck located in the north-west corner of the bridge, and the pedestrian walkway offers visitors panoramic views of both riverbanks. Tyne Bridge also popular with photographers due to it being a major tourist attraction. Its fantastic night-time illumination also adds to its visual appeal.
