Twelve Apostles
📍 From Viewpoint, Australia
The Twelve Apostles are a collection of beautiful limestone stacks that rise up to 45 meters above the Southern Ocean. The stacks are located along Australia's Great Ocean Road in Princetown, Victoria. The best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset when the golden light illuminates the stacks, creating a breathtaking view. However, be aware that the area can get very crowded during peak tourist season. Make sure to bring a good camera as there are plenty of photo opportunities here. It's also a popular spot for viewing wildlife, such as whales and dolphins. Just be careful of strong winds, especially when perched on the cliffs for photos. The Twelve Apostles can be accessed by car or through organized tours from nearby towns. Keep in mind that the parking lot can get full quickly, so it's best to arrive early. Lastly, be sure to respect the area's natural beauty by taking your trash with you and not touching or climbing on the limestone stacks as they are fragile and erosion is constantly reshaping them.
