The Twee Basilieken and Hoge Brug in Maastricht (Netherlands) is a complex of two impressive churches that were built in two distinct periods. The older of the two, St. Janskerk, dates back to the early 13th century and is in a Romanesque style. The newer basilica, Onze Lieve Vrouwkerk, was built in the 17th century in a neo-classical style.
Connecting the two churches is the stunning Hoge Brug, or high bridge, which was built in 1790 and is the highest bridge of its type in Netherlands.
