The Turm der Windeck and Burg Windeck are two historically significant monuments located in Weinheim, Germany. The Turm der Windeck is a medieval tower built in 1240, while the Burg Windeck, or Windeck Castle, was built around 1245. Both monuments have been preserved over the centuries and are now part of the cultural heritage of the town. The Turm der Windeck stands at an impressive 81 meters, making it the tallest defensive tower in all of Germany. The Burg Windeck, which lies on the eastern bank of the River Berg, is just as impressive. Its late Gothic hall stands thirty meters high and its oriel window is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the region. Visitors can take a guided tour of the grand canter feasting hall which has been featured in multiple films and music videos. Both of these monuments are open to visit throughout the year, making them great additions to any sightseeing itinerary in the area.
