Turku Cathedral is the seat of the Archdiocese of Turku, and located in the city of Turku, in Finland. The church is built in late 13th century and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is one of the most significant monuments in Finnish architectural history. The gothic building is impressive and has beautiful and unique decorative elements that are worth seeing. The outside walls are decorated with sculptures from the 17th century and the inside of the cathedral is elaborately decorated with paintings and furniture from the 17th century. Visitors can visit the lookout tower and stairs, the main aisle, and the chapels of the church. Guided tours are available and can be booked, and visitors can attend services there. The Cathedral is one of the most popular attractions in Turku and offers visitors a memorable experience, especially when illuminated in the night.
