Trittenheim is a village in Leiwen, Germany located on the Moselle River. It's a picturesque spot, full of traditional 16th century buildings lining the cobblestoned streets. Trittenheim is popularly known for its numerous art galleries and wine producers, as well as its beautiful views of the Moselle River and its surrounding vineyards. The town also boasts many churches and monasteries, some of which date back to the 11th century! Notable sights in Trittenheim include the Winzerkapelle, an old church from the 12th century, and the Kastell Montfort where old cannons can still be seen today. The River Moselle runs through the village and there are several boats which take visitors up and down the river to get closer to the vineyards and explore more of the region. There's plenty to explore in Trittenheim, both indoors and outdoors!
