📍 From Tower, Germany
The Treetop Walk Saarschleife rises through the forest above the Cloef viewpoint in Orscholz, a district of Mettlach in Saarland. Its gently ascending wooden walkway leads to a sculptural observation tower overlooking the Saarschleife, where the Saar forms a dramatic horseshoe bend around a densely wooded ridge. From the upper platform, photographs can frame the river’s broad curve, layered hills and villages along the valley, while the tower itself offers strong repeating lines and geometric patterns. Spring and summer bring deep greens, autumn emphasizes the shape of the meander with warm foliage, and winter opens clearer views through the bare canopy.
