Train Station - Atocha, in Madrid, Spain is the largest railway station in Madrid. Built in the late 19th century and expanded in the early 20th century, Atocha is the oldest and busiest station in Madrid's commuter rail system. It is even one of the grandest and most impressive railway stations in all of Europe. Inside, you will be charmed by the awe-inspiring main waiting hall, which is home to an impressive tropical garden conservatory, complete with exotic plants and trees. Visitors can also find several restaurants, and other services inside. The station is also home to a modern and air-conditioned shopping center and a number of kiosks which offer food, clothes and souvenirs. Connections to almost all other major Spanish cities take off and arrive at this station on a daily basis, making it a strategic transport hub.
