📍 United Kingdom
Trafalgar Square's Fountains is an iconic landmark in Greater London, United Kingdom. Located at the center of the iconic Trafalgar Square, the fountains are an icon of the square itself. The fountains were designed by Sir Charles Barry in 1845 to commemorate Admiral Nelson’s victory in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. The two basins of the fountain are decorated with sculptures of sea horses and tritons and are framed by Ionic-style columns. The fountains are a popular destination for tourists and best visited during the day when the fountains are illuminated. The fountains are also listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England and are a stunning memorial commemorating the achievements of Admiral Nelson and the Royal Navy.
