Tower Bridge is one of the iconic landmarks of London, England. It is a combined bascule and suspension bridge, built between 1886 and 1894, and was built as both a revenue-generating toll bridge, as well as a way to ease congestion on London Bridge. This engineering masterpiece is located 240m (790ft) in length and 65m (213ft) in width crossing the River Thames. It includes two towers, linked together by two walkways, and offers excellent views of the capital city. It is one of the most well-recognised bridges of the world where you can go inside the bridge and explore the Victorian-era engineering and pumping station. There is a great selection of restaurants and cafe's along the riverside and the bridge is beautifully lit up during the evening hours. Visitors are free to cross the bridge and take in the amazing views while they can.
