📍 From North Riverside, United Kingdom
Tower Bridge has become an iconic structure in London, and is a must-see when visiting the city. Built in 1894, the bridge spans the River Thames and connects London's South Bank to the City of London. The bridge’s two towers are connected with steel suspension chains and support two pedestrian pathways in the center. Visitors can walk across the bridge and admire the views of the City and the River Thames from its spot 200 feet above the water. The Bridge also features a Victorian-era Steam Engine House hosting its two famous bascule bridges. It opens daily to let larger ships pass, and can be seen from the South Bank of the River. You can enjoy this impressive spectacle from the nearby Tower Bridge exhibition, which tells the story of Tower Bridge, with interactive displays and virtual tours. There is also a glass walkway that connects the two towers, and provides views all around.
