Tourtour is a beautiful medieval village situated in the Var department of southeastern France. It's perched on a hilltop and situated atop a hill that gives commanding views of the Verdun mountains and the lower plains. The village has all the typical characteristics of a typical Provençal village, with red and ochre painted buildings, terracotta tile roofs, narrow cobblestone streets and houses connected to each other by passages between them. Some of the main attractions in the village include the Church of Saint-Hilaire, the old manor houses, the ruins of a 12th century castle, and a medieval water mill. There are also a few interesting landmarks, such as the ancient castle and the 'turret tower', located at the entrance of the village. Visitors can enjoy walking around the cobblestone streets admiring the beautiful houses or drinking in one of the cafes along the main square. Tourtour is just the perfect place to discover the topography of the area and to unwind.
