Totenhäuschen Batzdorf is a small cemetery chapel located in Klipphausen, Germany. It's an important part of the cultural and historical heritage of the region. This unique chapel stands out due to its remarkable architecture, historical importance, and the presence of numerous stories and legends. Totenhäuschen Batzdorf was built in the late 13th century and is one of the few existing examples of its kind in Germany. The chapel is a single-nave building, with its walls and facade covered in bright red tiles. Inside the chapel visitors can find beautiful frescoes, depicting stories from the Bible, and beautiful arches and columns. Visitors can also find several tombstones and other artifacts that belonged to the former owners of the estate. On the top of the chapel there is a bell tower, from which a bell can still be heard every day. It is definitely worth a visit to experience the beauty of this historical site.
