Torre Sur de Plaza de España
📍 From Fuente, Spain
Torre Sur de Plaza de España, in Sevilla, Spain, is one of the most beautiful examples of Moorish Revival architecture in the country and a popular photo spot. It is located in the Maria Luisa Park, built for the Spanish-American Exposition of 1929. The tower is built of 8 four-sided façades, each decorated with intricate mosaics in blue and green, with grandiose tapestry-like patterns. This photogenic building gives visitors stunning views of the monastery, the Maria Luisa Park and the rest of the city. It's definitely worth a visit, as a symbol of the eclectic Moorish/Portuguese style Teatro-Mudejar used in monumental architecture of the time.
