Torre di Ser Ivano is a medieval defensive tower within the Castello degli Ezzelini, on the elevated northern edge of Bassano del Grappa’s historic centre. The castle is associated with the Ezzelini family, a powerful presence in medieval Veneto, and its enclosure also contains the church of Santa Maria in Colle. The tower’s tall, square masonry profile rises above the defensive walls and surrounding tiled roofs, making Bassano’s fortified origins visible in its skyline. It represents the hilltop face of the town, distinct from the riverside setting around the Ponte degli Alpini.
