Torre di Maradico is a small coastal watchtower perched on the rocky promontory at Torre dell'Orso on Italy's Adriatic coast. As one of the many sentinel towers that mark Salento’s shoreline, it reads as a rugged, cylindrical stone landmark against the sea rather than an isolated monument. The tower is visually striking because of its compact silhouette set against the open water and the nearby twin sea stacks ("Due Sorelle") that define the bay; compositionally it works as a foreground anchor or a counterpoint to the stacks. Photographers will find strong contrasts of warm masonry and cool Mediterranean blue, with sunrises lighting the sea-facing side; low tide and clear air sharpen textures and reveal the rocky shore below. The site is directly accessible from the local beach and headland paths that trace the coast.
