Torre del Mangia is a Gothic-style campanile, or bell tower, located in the Siena Cathedral Square in the Italian city of Siena. Known for its impressive height, the tower was completed in 1338 and stands over 87 meters (285 ft) tall. This makes it the second tallest building in Siena - only the Palazzo Comunale is taller. Located near the entrance to the cathedral, the tower is the perfect spot for enjoying splendid views of the cityscape. Visitors can climb the structure's 411 steps to take in the gorgeous panoramic views from the top. There is also a café at top of the tower, making it a great place to take a break while sightseeing. The detailing of the tower's exterior is also quite remarkable; its pink and green marble facing stands out against the backdrop of the city. The tower is one of the most popular monuments in the city, drawing huge numbers of visitors every year.
