Toronto City Hall is an easily recognizable landmark of the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada. Located at Nathan Phillips Square in the downtown area, this impressive building was designed by two architects and opened in 1965. The building is constructed from reinforced concrete and glass, giving it an impressive modern feel and emphasizing its importance for the city. The building was also used for numerous films and television series. Most notably, scenes of the X-Men movie were shot here. Inside, one can find public artworks by prominent Canadian and international artists. Visitors can take yearly tours or take a panoramic elevator ride to the top of the City Hall - the Observation Deck - where one can appreciate the full beauty of this magnificent building. For photographers, capturing this beautiful piece of architecture both at night and during the day can provide amazing results.
