Torino, found in the north of Italy, is the capital of the Piedmont region. It is home to stunning Renaissance and Baroque architecture as well as some of the best historic sites and buildings in the country. As a special treat for visitors and photographers, the city boasts a large number of elegant squares and grand boulevards juxtaposed with quaint alleyways and hidden gems. Not to be missed is the incredible Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, found just outside the city walls. This small, two-level church was built in 1716 and comes alive with breathtaking frescoes, gold stars and intricate details. The chapel is often closed to visitors so be sure to check the opening hours if you plan to go in.
