Torii japonais
📍 From Metz, France
Torii Japonais is an archaeological site located in the town of Longeville-lès-Metz, France. It consists of a restored Norman stone bridge, with a Japanese style torii gate at one end. It dates back to the 11th century, but it was renovated in the late 19th century by a Japanese architect, Yonekawa Hajime. The bridge is surrounded by a beautiful garden with Japanese plants and trees. It’s a lovely area to explore and take a light stroll in a tranquil atmosphere. A perfect place to explore the ancient history of the region. It’s also ideal for admiring the beautiful scenery of the locality.
