Tope de Coroa, also known as the Crown's Peak, is a massive dormant volcano situated in Lombo de Torre, Cabo Verde. At an elevation of 1,979 m (6,490 ft), its summit is the highest point in the country. There is an incredible view from the top, and it is surrounded by the clouds and breathtaking turquoise sea. The lava trails created by the eruption many centuries ago are clearly visible and have an amazing texture. Hiking to the peak is a popular adventure and the path is well marked. You should be aware of the local weather and also prepare for a very steep and muddy hike, but experienced hikers should have no problem. Don't forget to bring plenty of water and clothes, a good pair of shoes and a camera. Enjoy the amazing beauty of the Nature and never forget to take in the views from this magnificent peak.
