The Tomb of Pari Bibi stands at the center of Lalbagh Fort in Old Dhaka, between the fort’s mosque and audience hall. Pari Bibi was the daughter of Shaista Khan, the Mughal governor of Bengal, and her mausoleum is one of the unfinished fort’s principal structures. Its pale dome and marble-lined burial chamber contrast with the surrounding red brick, while the straight garden paths emphasize the symmetry of the Mughal complex.
