Tiger Hill Pagoda
📍 China
The Tiger Hill Pagoda, also known as the Yunyan Pagoda, is a stunning example of ancient Chinese architecture. It is a nine-story octagonal tower, built in 247 AD, with a total height of 47 meters. This pagoda is the symbol of Suzhou and a superb example of the ancient Chinese architecture. It is situated on the Tiger Hill, where four rivers along with a canal intersect. It leans to one side due to its age and seismic activity. It is an inspiring symbol of resilience to all its viewers. The fascinating architecture of the pagoda includes many auspicious statues, including a pair of stone lions, cranes, a relief of a sea monster and numerous carvings. It was declared an important cultural relic by the Chinese government in 1961 and is an amazing place to explore.
