Tidal River Footbridge
📍 Australia
Tidal River Footbridge spans the tea-coloured Tidal River in the main visitor precinct of Wilsons Promontory National Park, Victoria. The pedestrian crossing connects the campground area with paths toward Norman Beach, Pillar Point and the coast beyond. Tannin-stained water, pale sandbanks and rounded granite hills give the scene its distinctive palette, while the river’s tidal movement continually reshapes the exposed shoreline. From the bridge, reflections of coastal scrub and distant slopes are strongest on calm water, and walkers, paddlers and feeding waterbirds often add scale and local activity to the composition.
