Three Rondavels View Point overlooks the northern reaches of the Blyde River Canyon near Matibidi, along Mpumalanga’s Panorama Route. Its defining feature is a trio of rounded, rock-capped peaks whose shapes resemble traditional southern African rondavel huts. The elevated lookout also reveals layered escarpment cliffs, forested slopes and the winding Blydepoort Dam far below. The scene is especially recognizable for its immense scale: foreground rock and vegetation give way to repeating ridges, while shifting cloud and sunlight accentuate the canyon’s red-brown stone and deep green valleys.
